CaptureWindow

The CaptureWindow component is used for the capture the application.

Ports

The CaptureWindow component exposes the handle, Control In, Control Out and Data Out ports by default.

Port Description
ControlIn Must be connected to the Control Out port of one or more components.
ControlOut Can be connected to the Control In port of another component or the default end component.
Data In The CaptureWindow component exposes the following Data In ports by default:
Handle: Returns the integer pointer to the application that was launched by start app component. Handle is useful to uniquely identify and interact with multiple applications.
Data Out Return the correctly aligned image(bitmap).

Properties

To edit the properties of the CaptureWindow component, in the properties window, change the required property. Users can edit the following properties.

Property Description
Search Search for the respective property.
Delay After Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is performed.
Delay Before Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is performed.
Enable Timeout Allows users to enable timeout for the component
Timeout Allows users to define a timeout for the component

Example

Let us consider an example

To CaptureWindow:

  1. In the toolbox, expand General Category.
  2. Drag the Startapp Component and drop it on the design surface.
  3. Double click on the filepath section of startapp component and provide the path for the targeted application (Eg: In this example we have provided a Text Filepath to capture window).
  4. Drag the CaptureWindow component and drop it on the design surface.
  5. To save the CaptureWindow Image:

    • To specify the Page Number, double-click the Page Number box and enter the required Page Number.
    • Double -click the filepath box and enter the required path, including the file name and type.
  6. Connect the control ports and data ports in the activity.

  7. In the toolbar, click Run.
