Threshold

The Threshold component enables to set the threshold for specified image.

Ports

The Threshold component exposes the Control In, Control Out, Data In and Data Out ports by default.

Port Description
ControlIn Must be connected to the Control Out port of one or more components.
ControlOut Can be connected to the Control In port of any other component.
Data In The Threshold component exposes the following Data In ports by default:
Image: Specifies the image to set the threshold (bitmap).
Threshold: Specifies the Threshold (int32).
Data Out Returns the specified Threshold Image (bitmap).

Properties

To edit the properties of the Threshold component, in the Properties window, change the required property. You can edit the following properties.

Property Description
Search Search for the respective property.
Delay After Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is executed.
Delay Before Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is executed.

Let us consider an example

To retrieve Threshold image:

  1. In the Toolbox, expand Utilities and then expand Image Utilities.
  2. To specify the Threshold image:

    • Drag the ReadFromFile component and drop it on the Design surface
    • Double-click the filePath box and enter the required path.

    Note

    To learn more about the Read From File component, refer the Read from File section.

  3. Drag the Threshold component and drop it on the Design surface.

  4. Double-click the Range box and enter the required range.

    Note

    User can override the existing data source for the scale Data In port.

    To override the existing data source:
    a. Right-click the required Data In Port.
    b. Click Override and change the data source.

    To learn more about overriding the data source of the data port, refer the Override section.

  5. To save the Threshold image:

    • Drag the Save component and drop it on the Design surface.
    • Double-click the filePath box and specify the path, including a file name and type.

  6. Connect the control ports and data ports in the activity.

  7. In the toolbar, click Run.
    The Threshold Image will be saved to the specified destination.
