Resize

The Resize component enables you to alter the size of the specified image. Currently, only a bitmap image is supported.

Ports

The Resize component exposes the Control In, Control Out, Data In, and Data Out ports by default.

Port Description
ControlIn Must be connected to the Control Out port of one or more components.
ControlOut Can be connected to the Control In port of another component or the default end component.
Data In The Resize component exposes the following Data In ports by default:
image: specifies the image to resize (bitmap).
width: specifies the new width of the image (int32).
height:specifies the new height of the image (int32)
Data Out Returns the specified part of the original image (bitmap).

Properties

To edit the properties of the Resize component, in the Properties window, change the required property. You can edit the following properties.

Property Description
Search Search for the respective property.
Delay After Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is performed.
Delay Before Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is performed.

Let us consider an example

To retrieve the image:

  1. In the Toolbox, expand Utilities and then expand Image Utilities.
  2. To specify the image to resize:

    • Drag the ReadFromFile component and drop it on the Design surface.
    • Double-click filePath box and enter the required path.

    Note

    To learn more about the Read From File component, refer the Read from File section.

  3. Drag the Resize component and drop it on the Design surface.

  4. Double-click the width box and enter the required width in pixels.
  5. Double-click the height box and enter the required height in pixels.

    Note

    You can override the existing data source for the width and height Data In ports.
    To override the existing data source:

    • Right-click the required Data In port.
    • Click Override and change the data source.

  6. To save the resized image:

    • Drag the Save component and drop it on the Design surface.
    • Double-click the filePath box and enter the required path, including the file name and type.

  7. Connect the control ports and data ports in the activity.

  8. In the toolbar, click Run.
    The image is resized and saved at the specified destination.
