UserName component retrieves the name of the person who is currently logged on to the Windows operating system.
UserName component exposes the Control In, Control Out, and Data Out ports by default.

To edit the properties of the
UserName component, in the
Properties window, change the required property. You can edit the following properties.
|Search||Search for the respective property.|
|Delay After Execution||Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is performed.|
|Delay Before Execution||Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is performed.|
Let us consider an example.
To retrieve the user name:
- In the Toolbox, expand
Utilitiesand then expand
- Drag the
UserNamecomponent and drop it on the Design surface.
- To enable display of the
network domain name, you can add a Message Box component to the activity. To add the Message Box component:
