SetImage

The SetImage component copies an image, in the Bitmap format, to the Windows clipboard.

Ports

The SetImage component exposes the Control In, Control Out and Data In ports by default.

Port Description
ControlIn Must be connected to the Control Out port of one or more components.
ControlOut Can be connected to the Control In port of another component or the default end component.
DataIn Adds the image, to the Windows clipboard. You can add any Windows-compatible image format to the Windows clipboard

Properties

To edit the properties of the SetImage component, in the Properties window, change the required property. You can edit the following properties.

Property Description
Search Search for the respective property.
Delay After Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is performed.
Delay Before Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is performed.

Example

Let us consider the example of adding an image file in the PNG format to the Windows clipboard.

To add the image:

  1. In the Toolbox, expand Utilities and then expand Clipboard
  2. Drag the SetImage component and drop it on the Design surface.
  3. To enable the Set Image component to retrieve the required image, you must provide the location of the image. To provide the location, you have to add the ReadFromFile component to the activity.
    To add the Read From File component:

    • In the Utilities category, expand Image Utilities.
    • Drag the ReadFromFile component and drop it on the Design surface.
    • Double-click filepath and enter the location of the image file.
    • To override the existing data source, right-click filepath.
    • Click Override and change the data source.

  4. Connect the control ports and the data ports in the activity.

  5. In the toolbar, click Run.
    The image is added, in the Bitmap format, to the Windows clipboard.
