FTP

FTP is a protocol for transferring files over the Internet, FTP specifies the command to send to the server by setting the method properly to a value defined in the WebRequestMethods.

This connector provides access to files and folders on an FTP server. Its main features include:

  • The ability to read files or fully list directory contents on demand.
  • Support for common FTP operations such as creating directories and copying, moving, renaming, and deleting files.
  • Support for locking files.
  • File matching functionality.

Configure

Access

To access the FTP connector options.

  1. In the Toolbox expand Connectors.

  2. Drag the FTP component and drop it under Global Objects.

  3. Expand Global Objects.

  4. Double click on the FTP component under Global Objects, User will see all the options for FTP connector available under Object Explorer section.

Methods:

CreateConnection

Allow users to Create the Connection. The CreateConnection method must be used prior to performing any other operation on FTP server.
