SetAppCredential

The SetAppCredential component enables the user to update the value of UserName and Password on the Orchestrator for an Application, using unique app name. Before using the SetAppCredential component, user must establish a connection to the Orchestrator using the SetConfig component.

Ports

The SetAppCredential component exposes the Control In, Control Out, Data In, and Data Out ports by default.

Port Description
Control In Must be connected to the Control Out port of one or more components.
Control Out Must be connected to the Control In port of any other component.
Data In The SetAppCredential component exposes the following Data Inputs:

AppName: Specifies the unique Application name of the existing application, from which user wants to extract the application decrypted credentials.

UserName: Specifies a value of the username, which User wants to update in respective Application credentials.

Password: Specifies a value of the password, which User wants to update in respective Application credentials.

Datatype should be String.
Data Out Return the value as Boolean datatype, which shows value of respective Application’s credentials whether it gets updated successfully or not .

Properties

For SetAppCredential component - User can edit the following properties, in the properties window.

Property Description
Delay After Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is executed.
Delay Before Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is executed.
Enable Timeout Allows users to enable timeout for the component
Timeout Allows users to define a timeout for the component

Note

To search for a specific property user can use the filter available in the properties window.

Example

Let us consider an example of the SetAppCredential component.

To update the credentials of the application:

  1. In the Toolbox, expand Orchestrator and then expand Common.

  2. Drag the SetConfig component and drop it on the Design surface.

  3. In the Toolbox, expand Orchestrator and then expand CREDENTIALS.

  4. Drag the SetAppCredential component and drop it on the Design surface.

  5. Enter the URL, RobotID and ProcessID inside the SetConfig component.

  6. Enter Unique name of AppName in Name Data In port of SetAppCredential component.

  7. Enter desired value in Username Data In port of SetAppCredential component.

  8. Enter desired value in Password Data In port of SetAppCredential component.

  9. Connect all control ports in the activity.

  10. In the toolbar, click Run.User will notice the updated credentials in the provided orchestrator instance.
