GetAssets

The GetAssets component enables the user to extract the values of all existing variables/assets (ex: Files, Credentials etc.) from Orchestrator. Before using the GetAssets component the user must establish a connection to the Orchestrator using the SetConfig component.

Ports

The GetAssets component exposes the Control In, Control Out, and Data Out ports by default.

Port Description
Control In Must be connected to the Control Out port of one or more components.
Control Out Must be connected to the Control In port of any other component.
Data Out Return the value of the existing all asset of the process in the form of array with Object datatype.

Properties

For GetAssets component - User can edit the following properties, in the properties window.

Property Description
Delay After Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) after the action is executed.
Delay Before Execution Specifies the wait time (in seconds) before the action is executed.
Enable Timeout Allows users to enable timeout for the component
Timeout Allows users to define a timeout for the component

Note

To search for a specific property user can use the filter available in the properties window.

Example

Let us consider an example of the GetAssets component.

To get all the existing asset values:

  1. In the Toolbox, expand Orchestrator and then expand Common.

  2. Drag the SetConfig component and drop it on the design surface.

  3. In the Toolbox, expand Orchestrator and then expand ASSETS.

  4. Drag the GetAssets component and drop it on the design surface.

  5. Enter the URL, RoboID and ProcessID inside the SetConfig component.

  6. In the Toolbox, expand Connectors and search for KeyValuePair connector.

  7. Drag and drop the KeyValuePair connector under Global Objects in the Project Explorer.

  8. Under Global Objects, double click on the KeyValuePair then user will see all the available methods under Object Explorer.

  9. Drag and drop the SetData component onto the design surface.

  10. Drag and drop the GetItems component onto the design surface.

  11. Double click on the GetItems component, cofiguration window will open and enter the required Assetnames as Key.

  12. To add the Show component:

    a. In the Toolbox, expand General Category.

    b. Expand MessageBox, drag the Show component and drop it on the design surface.

  13. As per the flow connect all control ports and data ports in the activity.

  14. In the toolbar, click Run.
