Entities

An Entity represents a word or phrase inside the Utterance/Document that needs to be extracted.

  1. To create Entities, click on Entities tab in Navigation Menu.

  2. Entities:

  3. Click on Create Entity.

  4. Specify a Name and click on Submit button.

  5. Created Entity gets displayed under the list of Entities.

  6. Click on the newly created Entity to view Examples, Dictionary, Synonyms and Post Process Filters.

  7. Select the required dictionary (already created under Dictionaries in Navigation Menu) from the dropdown and click on Add.

  8. Similarly Examples and Synonyms can be added for a particular Entity.

  9. Click on Add to add the examples.

  10. Once the Submit button is clicked, list of Examples will be displayed as shown below:

  11. Select a Synonym from the list and click on Add.

  12. Add POST PROCESS FILTERS at the Entity level before testing or making an API call.

  13. To remove any unwanted characters or patterns observed after processing a file, Post Process Filters can be used.

  14. Post Process Filters are of two types:

    • String Replace

    • Regex Replace

  15. To Add Filters, Click on ADD.

  16. Choose the Filter Type.

    • String Replace: to remove/replace a certain string from all documents uploaded after creation of this filter.

      • Enter a string in From field (Ex: #) that needs to be removed, and leave To field blank. Select Filter Type as "String Replace".
      • Enter a string in From field (Ex: #) that needs to be replaced, and a string (Ex: @) in To field that needs to be replaced with. Select Filter Type as "String Replace".

    • Regex Replace: to remove a pattern (Ex: [0-9] in From field and leave To field blank will remove all numbers from the result). Select Filter Type as "Regex Replace".

  17. Repeat the steps to add all the Entities.
